Naming Ceremonies
Naming Ceremonies (sometimes called Baby or Welcoming Ceremonies) are a lovely way to acknowledge a new life in a family.

Naming ceremonies are often, but not always, for young children or a new baby. However, they can also be used to mark the blending of existing families as a new relationship between adults forms. These are also ideal ceremonies for welcoming adopted children to their new families.

At the heart of Naming and Welcoming Ceremonies are the promises that adults make to the children:
Parents will make promises to their children.
Supporting Adults (or Godparents) can be identified and will also make promises.
Grandparents too can make promises both to a new grandchild and to their own children, the new parents.

The cost of a Naming or Welcoming Ceremony includes an initial consultation and the delivery of a draft script. I will conduct the ceremony on the day and provide orders of ceremony (if these are required. Maximum 30, black & white free of charge) and certificates for you and your supporting adults (maximum of six). After the day I will provide you with a souvenir copy of the script of your ceremony.

Please contact me to discuss your requirements, and the fees for your ceremony.
